WE ARE LEARNING ALL ABOUT RIVERS!
Welcome to a new Autumn Term 2017!
Our Rivers Topic
So far we have been busy learning about the water cycle and how rivers are formed. The children have made a lovely water cycle display, in Jackdaw class, which is helping us with our learning.......
In maths we have been exploring 'place value' using the Base 10, building numbers up to 1000 and beyond!
Kestrels and Jackdaws are enjoying listening to 'Wind in the Willows'.....
Please remember that homework will be set on a Friday, to be handed in at the latest by the next Friday. If your child has ANY difficulties with a maths questions please highlight it and we will go over these questions in class. The idea is to highlight gaps in learning so that we can teach them in school. If you would like to know how we teach certain methods then please come in and ask.
We are learning about 'Living things and their Habitats'.......
So far the children have been grouping and classifying different types of animals according to their characteristics and habitat.
Art - inspired by 'Wind in the Willows'.......
A slide show of our trip down the River Ore on 'Regardless'.........
'Pastel drawings of the journey of a river from 'mouth to source', with 'features' added....
