We take Safeguarding matters very seriously. All staff and Committee members at Snape Primary School have been trained in Safeguarding Procedures. The school’s policy conforms to the Suffolk Safeguarding Children Board Joint Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Children. Any information about Safeguarding issues is treated as confidentially as possible, but staff have a legal duty to share any information they receive with the Designated Safeguarding Lead in school. The school has a legal duty to refer cases of alleged or suspected child abuse to Social Care Services.
If you have any concerns about a child you can contact Customer First at any time on: 0800 800 4005.

As a school we recognise that safeguarding against radicalisation is no different from safeguarding against any other vulnerability. All staff are expected to uphold and promote the fundamental principles of British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect, and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
The main aims of our Tackling Extremism and Radicalisation Policy policy are to ensure that staff are fully engaged in being vigilant about radicalisation; that they overcome professional disbelief that such issues will not happen here and ensure that we work alongside other professional bodies and agencies to ensure that our pupils are safe from harm.
