HI Snape Superstars!
I missed you all today. It was so strange being in the garden without you all, strawberry bear and I missed you, but I feel lucky I can still come in to keep the garden growing for you and it's nice knowing you're all safe & sound at home with your families, best place to be!!! AND do you get to do forest school every day at home!? You can tell your parents all about it, play with them, lead your learning & it will be lovely <3 You know being teachers yourselves is one of the best ways to learn! What can you teach them about forest schools and what fun things would YOU like to do with them in nature? Please tell your parents that I'll be putting some helpful info on here for them too, so you can all feel confident together. In the meantime, please remember what brilliant, fun, kind, creative and imaginative individuals you all are and make the most of the fresh air. We are so lucky to live here! Strawberry bear was so tired after having to do all of the gardening with me on his own today that he even fell out of his hammok! He had a break and tried climbing the grandmother tree, but then he got stuck so was grumpy. He cheered up though when I gave him the veg superstar badge again next to his hammok :-) Kestrels and eagles, do you remember our wonderful goodbye chat under the grandmother tree on our last session!? Who can write or make a poster about what we said & thought? I'd love to see. I'm just learning about how to do this on the website, so please be patient while I adapt & I'll have something to post on the blog for you all every week, ideas for projects, things to do, photos, etc. I'm also putting a weekly project & useful info up on my Instagram with similar info on there, feel free to follow nature_alchemy_kin and am posting in the facebook group Orford Creative Kids which is free to join. Who can tell me what fun things you've been doing already!?! Can you keep a diary of what you've seen, done and learned in nature? How is the season changing? Have you picked some flowers for your families to keep them cheerful!? What skills can you master with this time? Certainly knot tying! Growing your own gardens & all sorts! Make a list of things you'd like to do at home that you normally do at forest school. Show it to your family and see how much you can tick off! Remember that YOU all made our forest school with little more than a ball of string, scisors and some seeds for the garden (plus maybe a spade and a trowel), so can you create your own forest school at home!?! I'd love to know all about it and what fun you'll have. It's a wonderful opportunity to get really good at the things you love most and I hope you're all being kind & helpful at home, doing what you've been asked nicely & keeping up with your forest school values. Who wants to make a poster about those!? More soon, plus photos, once I can figure all this technology out! (We're all learning!) Maybe I need some lessons from you too :-) Stay well, stay safe and stay tuned! Much love, from Kinna.
