The national curriculum for Art & Design aims for all pupils to:
- Produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences
- Become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques
- evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design
- Learn about well-known artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms
So everyone experiences: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, 3D (clay, sculpture etc) and textiles across the year.

Autumn Term 2021: Cycle A with textiles exploration using natural objects for pattern observations, dip dying and colour experimentation.
Autumn Term 2020: Cycle D with Matisse collage cut outs-negative/postive and mark marking + LINE in drawing , complementary colours, enlarging, pattern including repeated pattern
Spring Term 2021: Coast to Coast - Cycle D with Linear form/Bridget Riley in Drawing, Anna Dillon's contour colour work
Summer Term 2021: Cycle D Invasion Local History theme-3D pot linked with AS pottery+sketchbook work collecting natural forms out and about to inspire clay slab piece+ intro to print making using rollers, textures from paper overlay, mono printing
3D Yr 3 plan-pot linked with Anglo Saxon pottery+slab work in response to natural form-out and about sketchbook work
